ABOUT THIS ART STUDIO SITE
"While indeed this site is meant for adult's only, let us not confuse it's purpose. This is not a site of pornography, and it is not a lesbian fetish nor spanking site, nor a BD/SM site, though calling this a spanking art site may not be far off. This is simply an erotic art site. This is an online artist's studio whose purpose is to display and promote The Art Of The Spirit, whose art often does contain elements of nudity (sometimes explicit), fetishism and BD/SM amongst other elements such as female beauty, romance, fantasy and self-fulfillment. It is not about any single theme or genre, but rather about the artistic journey the artist took to complete the image. This site is just as much about concept and art technique as it is about anything else. This site is about free speech, freedom of thought and freedom of expression. All artists are on that front line. If we have free minds, then we are able to freely create. That is some of which this site represents."
"The Spirit, my name, is a pseudonym I originally created to differentiate between my vanilla art from my erotic art. I selected this pen name because, I am The Spirit of myself, my art is The Spirit of me, and I am The Spirit of my innermost thoughts (which inspire me). My name represents all expressionistic factions of my inner being, particularly referring to my erotic and fetish art. I create to express and for no other reason. And since fine art and illustration is my life's devoted passion (and always has been), I am naturally at home externalizing my innermost thoughts and inspirations into my art. I am my own harshest critic, and due to this, I continually strive for higher ground and achievements, always seeking out and developing new creative techniques for my personal expression. The process of creating each artwork itself is my opportunity, reward and the only means of temporarily satisfying the creative passion and inspirations that consume my life. I cannot be fulfilled or satisfied otherwise. My art is an ode to female beauty, a path to admire their physical beauty and interpret their complexities, their actions, inactions, and responses."
"The beauty of erotic art as a directional focus for my artwork is that the emotion, motivation and inspiration in all that it offers is unyeilding. It is always there for me. The bottom line, the message of all I draw is love. Even what may seem like conflict, is really just a moment in time. All my characters are exactly where they deserve to be, and in the end, would have it no other way. In the fantasy art of The Spirit, there is no premeditation or intent to injure another, and incorporates a complex process of human self discovery via The Spirit's brand of story telling through a presentation of visual art. Much of my artwork merely sets the stage for a viewer's own imagination to take over. There is NO degradation or malice. There is fantasy, and there is self-acceptance and fulfillment of one's soul. My art has appeal to both fetish enthusiasts, Spankos and vanilla types alike. As well, my art shows us all that we may all smile safely even sometimes at the misfortune of a rendered punished brat), meaning, that there is justice in the end. That heaping serving of justice wipes all slates clean and offers resolution and a clean start. More often than not, I enjoy and tend to inject my sense of humor, wit and satire into an image too. That really differentiates my art from other artists. I attempt to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere, even during an awkward moment, for viewing one of my artworks is like looking in on a moment in time into someone's life. My mind is an endless vault of ideas the demand much time (and there never seems to be enough of that) to create."
And many people do indeed connect with The Spirit's art. On Saturday May 7, 2005 (9:00pm), the Playboy TV program Sexcetera (episode #61) featured a feature story about The Spirit's art, this website and included a rare on camera interview. This episode is still periodically rebroadcast via reruns. The Spirit's art has also been published into a beautiful hardcover book titled: Spank Me: The Art Of The Spirit by Goliath Publishing back in 2004. It is now a sold out edition. Though if you look around the internet, you may still find one."
"We believe that this book will become a Collector's item in the future, as The Spirit's art is ahead of it's time."
A. Castaneda, British Columbia
""The Spirit's work reveals a luscious secret world of strong sexy women and the painfully feminine creatures they dominate and devour. The girls need to be punished, and he's just the artist to show us how."
Craig Morey, San Fransisco, CA
